November 2009

Well we hope that this finds everyone doing well and ready for the holiday season!!!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. We had many things to be thankful for this year! All our friends & family!!!

November was here & gone before we knew it.....now December is here and Christmas only a blink away it seems!

What happened in November.....nothing new really....

Paige.....

.....she continues to do Ballet & still loving it! She is always dancing around the house!

..... continues to grow & grow, becoming a very big girlie girl!

Bret.....

.....is still loving school.

..... doing GREAT in his Martial Arts class. He earned his 1st tip on his white belt....only 2 more to go before he can test for his yellow!!! He is doing awesome & loving every minute of it!

.... Bret lost his 1st tooth!!!! The Tooth Fairy brought him $1, a battery operated spinny Spiderman toothbrush & left him a little note!

Brian.....

..... is working hard at work & at home (doing some side jobs).

Tara.....

..... working working & working!!! She worked a few overtime hours in the month. Extra $$$ good for Christmas!

October 2009

We hope this finds every healthy and well!

The Szekely's are up to being BUSY BUSY BUSY!

Paige.....

... is still doing Ballet! She seems to LOVE it and is doing very well in it. She dances around the house all day long most days. We are very proud of our dancing princess!

... was in a little Halloween recital at a local nursing home. She was shy at first but by the end she was her normal self!

.... for Halloween Paige was a ladybug for her recital, a princess for the church Halloween party, then a lady bug for trick or treat!

Bret....

... started Martial Arts! He didn't want to at first, but once we got him there he LOVED it!! He is doing very well too. He listens to Mr. Hill and pays attention so well, we are very proud of him.

... is doing fantastic in school. We had our 1st parent/teacher conference. His teacher had nothing but good things to say about Bret.

... can read!! We are so proud of how well he is doing in school.

... had his 1st school picture!! (will have to try to scan in to post)

... for Halloween Bret was a Transformer (Optimus Prime) for the church Halloween party and for trick or treat he was a Fireman!!

Tara....

... is still loving her job! She is still trying to get use to the late hours. She is a morning person not much a night person anymore.

Brian....

... has been BUSY with side jobs. He always seems to have 2 to 3 cars to work on during the evenings & weekends.

September 2009

Wow....how fast the time has gone.....let's see what did we do in September!

Paige....

.... started Ballet @ the YMCA....she loves it & seems to be doing really well. She goes around the house now dancing away!

..... is turning more & more into a Girlie Girl!! She loves to play dress up, have lipstick on, toenails polished & her hair done. Her hair is finally long enough for pigtails!

.... got a "new" bike (Nana painted Bret's old bike Pink & Purple then added Tink to it!)...she loves her big girl bike!

Bret.....

....turned 5 yrs old!! We can't believe how the time has just flown by! He is such a little man. He had a blast for his birthday.....we had it at Run Jump & Play....sports theme....he had lots of his friends there! And we LOVED it too.....we got to enjoy his birthday party with him!

.... got a New Big Boy bike for his birthday from Mommy & Daddy!

....started school!!! He is doing great in school also! He loves to learn! We are very proud of him.....hope he keeps up the good work! Brian says he must get it from me....so watch out when Paige starts school!! Oh great!!

.... also had his 2nd visit to the dentist.....he did great! He got a good report! NO cavities!!! Got his 1st fluoride treatment.

Tara....

.... closed her In-home daycare & went back to work part time in the evenings. She is working at Macy's Call Center as a Fraud Analyst. She will finish training Oct 24th....she LOVES it!

Brian....

..... made it thru a softball session without any major injuries or stitches!!! He did get a nasty "dirt burn" from sliding into a base but it was treatable at home, no hospital visits!!

August 2009

Well August was another busy month for us as always! Friends, Family, Cookouts!!!

Paige & Bret took swim classes. We tried to go swimming but it never was really hot! We did have a great time swimming at our friend Natalie's a few times tho.

Brian managed to get thru August without any softball injuries!!!

Bret finished up his tee-ball season!! He loved it! He also got a new set of glasses....clip on sunglasses!

We had a great visit with my Aunt Terrie. She had never met the kids....so it was exciting! They had a blast with their Great Aunt Terrie.

Brian finally got the kids playset together in the back yard....and the LOVE it! So do I!! With all the rain we had to keep delaying it....but finally it stayed dry enough. Brian had some help from some great neighbors & a friend!

Bret had his Kindergarten Screening this month too!!! He is very excited to start school. He will be starting on Wednesday Sept 9th. He will go all day, Mondays, Wednesdays & alternating Fridays.

Well....we hope that everyone has a Great September!!! We have a busy one ahead...Bret turns 5....Paige starts Ballet....Bret starts school....and who knows what else it will bring!!

July 2009

Well July is almost over. We have had an interesting & very busy month.

Mondays are now free. The Church Bowling League has ended until Fall.

Wednesdays stayed busy since Bret & Paige are now in Pike's Swim Class at the YMCA.

Saturdays stay busy between Bret's Tee-ball games in the late morning/early afternoon to Brian's softball games...double headers in the evening (the kids & I don't go since they are normally too late)!

Tuesdays & Thursdays fill up quickly with other things that pop up or things we need to do! Fridays the kids & I try to find new parks & activities to do to fill our day!

Sundays are church & relaxing....family day!

We have a big project going on in the backyard. We leveled out an area for the kids swingset! Now if it would just stop raining on the days Brian has time to put it together! (Picture)

On July 10th I had a Surprise 30th Birthday Party for Brian! His actual birthday is 7/13. He loved it!! He called on his way home from work saying how "hot, tired & hungry" he was.....wow was he in for a surprise with about 20+ friends waiting for him to arrive! He LOVED his cake (Thank you Tracie)!! For those that don't know....Brian has an addiction....he LOVES guns so that is why the cake is a gun in a gun case! (Picture)

On July 25th we had a pretty nasty Thunderstorm! Lightning almost hit our house!!! About a foot away from the corner of our house to be exact! (Picture) Due to this lovely event....we lost our TV......so on July 26th Brian & I made our 2nd biggest purchase....the house being the 1st....a Panasonic 52" Plasma TV! I had to twist Brian's arm...I know shocking but true! (Picture) We LOVE it! Christmas in July for us!

We have had a very cool summer so far....and rainy! So we will see what August brings! One big exciting thing for August we have.....Bret's Kindergarten Screening!!! It is getting close! We can't believe he is going to Kindergarten in September!!!

June 2009....

Ok...now to the present month.....I know we haven't finished the month of June but we are 1/2 way thru!

We continue on our bowling league every Monday night. Brian & I enjoy the time we get to spend together!

June 5th Paige turned 3 yrs old! She had a wonderful party, Tea Party. A friend of mine from high school made a fabulous cake! Paige enjoyed all her family & friends.....also all the fun presents too!

Bret started Tee-Ball!! He is practicing right now every Saturday in June. His first game will be July 11th. Brian is helping coach as well, Bret tells him "I am very proud of you Daddy". Bret has been doing great. Hits the ball & has learned how to catch!!

Paige passed Pikes w/Parents & is now into Pikes....no Mommy or Daddy in the pool with her. She does a great job! She waits patiently (would have never thought) for her turn w/the teacher. She loves jumping off the wall into the water the best!

The kids got to go to a local waterpark for the 1st time!! The Beach Waterpark.....they had a great time w/their friends & in the water. We got rained out but we got rain checks to go again!

I added some pics....I also added some pics of the kids from May....we went to a few different parks around the area! Also a pic of our little vistor in our back yard one evening!

It has been a long time....

We are very sorry that it has been so long since we have updated our blog. Times just seems to get away from us!

So here is a quick update:

February -The biggest thing that happened was we registered Bret for Kindergarten. Yes...I cried all the way to the registration office to get the paper work. But I didn't drop a tear when we went to turn in the paperwork. I can't believe he will be in Kindergarten Fall 2009!!

March - This was a very sad month for us. On March 6th Our best friend & the kids Uncle Paul passed away of massive heart attack at the age of 38. Paul was Brian's best friend & he was married to my best friend, Trina. Paul & Trina were how Brian & I met! The kids don't completely understand that Heaven isn't a place we can go visit him. He is always in our thoughts & we miss him VERY much!

April - Easter & Our 5 yr wedding Anniversary! The kids went to their first Easter Egg Hunt @ our church. They had a great visit from the Easter Bunny too. Brian & I celebrated our 5 yr Wedding Anniversary! It has been 5 wonderful years, the time has flown by. Also.....Bret did Tumbleweeds gymnastics at the YMCA while Paige did Pikes w/Parents swim class. They had a wonderful time & loved every minute. Oh....And our kitchen flooded while we were over visiting Mom. The hose off the back of the fridge that goes in for the water dispenser in the door slipped out! It was a HUGE mess!

May - Nothing to excited happened here. We started bowling on our church league Monday evenings. I went away with Trina & some other wonderful friends for a Scrapbookin' Retreat to The Zane Trace Inn in Somerset OH. Brian stayed home & watched the kids...his a great dad! Memorial Day weekend the kids & I went to Cleveland to hang out with Trina & the kids. Brian stayed home & painted the loft area, built me a huge cabinet in the garage for my canned goods & paper products.

That brings us to June.....I will make a seperate entry for June!
